About
Fencing is my passion and I’ve made it into a big part of my life. Fencing isn’t all of my life though, you need balance. My balance comes from my family - chasing and raising three boys, from other sports - roller hockey is great fun, and from lots of reading and playing games (both with kids and other adults.)
I’ve been fortunate enough to take my passion and extend it past my normal competitive career. Fencing.Net grew out of my love of fencing and the desire to spread more good training information to combat a lot of the misinformation that was out on the early newsgroups. The desire to create good, usable content led to the creation of the Fencing.Net web site, from the news to discussion forums and equipment reviews.
Now, I take the act to Beijing where all of the work providing content and news for the community has “paid off” in the form of journalist credentials to the Olympic Games. I’m truly honored to be able to watch and write about the athletes as they do what I could only dream of and compete for the glory of an Olympic medal.
This blog is just one part of Fencing.Net. I hope you have a chance to expore what the entire fencing community here has to offer and learn something from it.

Hi,
On fencing.net at one of you footwork drills you said you be contacted for more.
I would appreciate any more exercises( I do have a coach but because it is rugby season I cant get to enough lessons and I hope this exercises will keep me up to shape and maybe give me a advantage in the long run). I would like a few footwork exercises that focus on fitness and burning myself out a bit.
Regards
