I came across your blog on fencing and it reminds me of an author I know. Angelica Harris is the author of "Excalibur Reclaims Her King" and also has a children's reading room in Queens, NY. She teaches fencing to children and really has incorporated her love for all of the arts into her passion. Check out her website-- maybe you could work together!

I had been told from a team Chinese national team fencer: why they use European products than their own Chinese made for their safety gears.
He said that may be true Wuxi can gain the FIE approval. The tricks is they sent the up to standard materials and samples for the CE and FIE test and made with other non approved(cheaper) material for the market. If they made with the approved materials the cost will be very closed to the European products. As a fencer and concern your safety and money what will you choose??

That is why there are two versions on the test reports, one from UK (the product on the market)and one from Wuxi (the product form the laboratory) I believe both reports are true and sound.
We need to have some wisdom to choose the what you want to buy for your safety issue.

I know of several fencers who fenced effectively with their off-hand after an injury.

There is quite a bit of a learning curve - it's like starting out as a beginner again but a bit more frustrating because your mind knows what you want to do but you don't have the muscle training to do the actions with your off-hand.

If you enjoy fencing, then I'd give it a try.

This must have made for one memorable wedding. Great ideal.

Can you help me with a concern. I was a beginning fencer and loving it. Then I tore my labrum, which pretty much ended fencing with my right hand. But I discovered, years ago (when I broke my right wrist), that I could write and draw with my left hand. Do you think I could master fencing with my left hand?
