We just got the 2009 calendar proofed and it’s going to press today. The calendar looks great and we’re really happy with the design. This is a first for US Fencing and a real celebration of the success of the US team.

We’ve been working on several projects behind the scenes to take Fencing.Net forward in terms of content and usability for the fencing community. I’ve been unhappy with the product reviews engine for some time now, but haven’t had time to dig into it myself. Luckily, one of the forum members has been helping out and we’ve now gotten the Reviews section to a place where we can make the new engine live. You can see one of the first new reviews of the SKB Squash shoe here.

Tim Morehouse posted a new post to his blog and at the fencing.net forums. I’m really happy for what he’s doing as he and Jason Rogers have been going all out promoting fencing and TenThousandFencers.

We get asked questions all the time from people calling in looking to upgrade from their basic gear up to the next level and figured there would be a better way to push some of those recommendations out rather than wait for someone to call us an ask.
