Chapter 1: Concerning Hobbits (I mean…Fencers!)
This post comes to us from Brian Mehlman at the Fresno Fencing Academy.
Recently I have been involved in preparing the new building for the Fresno Fencing Academy. The new place is three times bigger and much easier to get to, but needed to be painted quite badly. The work was mostly completed by the people who fence at the academy . While there, I made 11 interesting observations that probably only other fencers could appreciate:
1. Epeeists are tall, and painted the really high places
2. Foilists pay attention to detail and painted all the corners and edges
3. Saberists are fast and painted everything else really quickly
