I head out to Beijing tomorrow morning on Delta to Seattle and then via Hainan Air to Beijing. It’s been a nervewracking week getting all of the final preparations done and getting clothes laid out for packing.

The hardest thing will be missing the family. We did a test run of Skype on my laptop and the home PC so hopefully we’ll be able to do some video calling. Seeing the kids react to a webcam should be cause for much amusement. I did see some early comments that Skype wasn’t working in Beijing, which would be a huge issue so I hope it was more of a technical glitch than anything else.
