No seriously when i saw the revieuws i was inthusiatic, but 220 ! come on ! thats ripping people off. A Negrini FIE mask retails for less, lasts longer than a pair of shoes, and does a bit more important job. I'm not trying to downplay the incredible importance of a good pair of shoes, but I was looking forward to the Ballestra (I desperately need a new pair of fencing shoes) and they looked pretty great. But now, I guess it's back to all the same old options. Also odd how on the site it has them listed as "mens" fencing shoes. I really think that the Ballestra is a great shoe, and was a no brainer at $150. At $220 it's still a good shoe, but more targeted at the top tier fencers.
