This updated YouTube video shows someone squaring off with Luigi in a fencing match in Sonic and Mario at the Olympics for the Nintendo Wii.

You can see a little bit of the controls usage, but not enough to figure out what the left hand controls are.

Can you tell from the video if they are using fencing foils or epees?  The guard doesn’t look deep enough to be an epee guard but looks a bit big on some of the characters.  Maybe they are using the Vniti XL guards.  ;-)

There’s another video that also has some of the shooting game play as well.

Bouts go to 15 touches, so there’s always opportunity for come backs in these games.
